Da Morgada Quince Paste is a traditional delicacy that goes well with cheese and meats. Initially, honey was used in its production. In the 1800s, the nuns of the Odivelas monastery replaced it with sugar cane sourced from Madeira and Brazil, which gives the paste a unique flavor. The paste is now made with quince fruit and sugar cane and features a sweet, floral flavor, rich amber color, and dense texture.
